Upfront Security Ltd was started in 2007 by the founders Ben Bolton, Mitch Griffiths and John Daniels. With our collective knowledge and experience within the security industry, we pride ourselves on being able to offer a professional and quality service to our customers.
Our company operates in the belief that the needs of our customers are paramount. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. We make sure we get the job done professionally by having the right staff for the right jobs.
Ben Bolton: Aussie boy, born and bred Penrith NSW, a real westie. I have had over 20 years experience in the security industry, prior to that I served in the Australian Regular Army for 9 years serving twice overseas. This training has lead our team to personal security including, high profile celebrities, VIPs and overseas dignitaries. I have organized and overseen the security for large venues in the Dunedin and Otago region. This has included such things as MTV, International Sporting Events, and security for TV commercials and film.These same basic principles apply to security in today’s ever-changing world as in static guards, money handling and mobile patrols. Known in the company as Mr PC incorrect, old school.
Mitch Griffiths: I was born and raised in Dunedin, educated at Otago Boys High. I was introduced into the security industry over 5 years ago. Starting off with hospitality and venue security, leading into vehicle patrol, static guard and alarm response. I'm a very keen outdoors person, have an interest in self defence and played Rugby League for a couple of seasons. I also like the odd game of Golf and Fishing when I can get time. I am known in the company as Mr Fix It as I am interested in anything mechanical and electronic.
John Daniels: Raised in Dunedin, born in Auckland I consider myself a southern man. I first started in the security industry when I was 19 years old, having my first taste of door work at one of the local bars. Some of the experience in the work I have done has been close protection work for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Royal Family, 24hrs around the clock,Vip and Events security. Some of my interests are Rugby League, Golf,Volleyball and supporting the local mixed martial arts(mma) fightclub, Otago Sharks mma, Team Hammerhead
and Australian EFG Penrith Elite Fight Gym and am also a keen follower of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) , Im also known in the company as Mr Smiley (the nice guy).
